A Glimpse Behind-the-Scenes at my Beautiful Life

Welcome to my Blog!!  I’m using this post to give you a little peek into my life, outside of our work.

Our family has recently (ahem, 6 years ago) moved into our ‘dream home’ on 5 treed acres, and while there are many things in our home that have yet to be completed, I am head over heels with every aspect of it. (Someday I’ll do a Home Tour Post)  It has been a labor of love and I have a vision for each space.  For now, we plan to take our time and complete it as we can. (Ha-ha, that is ‘the plan’ because we are crazy busy y’all!!)  We love and appreciate all that we have been given, and work to manage and be good stewards of it.

Having a small acreage has allowed us the opportunity to get a few animals, and while I love animals, I am not a huge fan of them in my house, so they are free to enjoy space we have outside.  (Of course our sub-arctic-like winters tend to pull at my heart strings and of course we let them into the warmth.) We have a gentle “Lassie” dog we named Nikki, a beautiful horse named Tea, and a few cats that wander our property keeping the pesky rodent population down (yuck, I know, that is life in the country my friends!)  We have dreams of a small barn, and a shop… time will tell.

Our 4 daughters keep us busy, and help us fully embrace our pillows (from exhaustion) each night, haha! We have a stunning and crazy smart 15 year old, who is (palm to forehead) exactly like I was at her age!  A perfectionist.  She has high expectations of life and everything she does is done with a laugh!  I see it all over her, she is CEO material.  Our 12 year old is a sweet sensitive soul who loves deeply and has a flair for the arts!  She is the one I find creating, painting, drawing, knitting etc. in any and every corner of the house.  She loves gymnastics, dance and anything that has to do with creative expression.

Next, is our quiet but fierce 10 year old.  She tends to be shy around new people and larger groups, but when she gets comfortable she is a ton of fun!  She loves to laugh and isn’t concerned about what others think, she will do what she wants to, and she knows what that is!  Our youngest is 7 and is going on 17. (ugh!)  She has enough personality and attitude for our whole family!  (Well, not really, but you get the idea)  She was born with a ‘hidden’ genetic disorder, meaning you would never know just to look at her some of the struggles her little body has.  We have gone through a lot with her, and ultimately she is showing me how to embrace life fully!  She has fun, likes to make people laugh and carries the most intense amount of compassion I have ever seen a one person.  It’s truly beyond her years!

Last but definitely not least, let me introduce to you my gorgeous husband and forever partner in life, Lonny.  We have been married for 16 years and he Is an amazing father to our daughters.  Together we have owned and operated a successful construction business for the past 12 years, incrementally growing each year.  Our area is quite competitive in this particular field, so I’ll take this opportunity to shout out how proud I am of my husband to have built this business from the ground up to where it is today!  Yes, he is amazing!

And me?  Well, I am Cheree Vogt… I wear a lot of hats in my life – wife, mom, friend, taxi, teacher, nurse, chef, cleaner, volunteer and the list goes on (just like every one of you moms out there!)  BUT, I am so exited to add YOUR Brow Artist.  I can’t wait to get to know you better while you relax in my chair!
